There are 355 new cases of coronavirus registered in the last 24 hours, people hospitalized both in intensive care and in Covid rooms are increasing
FLORENCE – The epidemiological curve is still below the threshold of 500 new cases per day, but the number of deaths remains at two figures, with other 10 victims in the last 24 hours. Admissions are up too, with 17 more patients in the Tuscan departments of Covid e 8 in intensive care. The new registered victims are 4 men and 6 women with a mean age of 83.1 years, 2 lived in Florence, 1 in Prato, 1 in Pistoia, 3 in Massa Carrara, 2 in Pisa, 1 in Livorno.
In the last 24 hours, according to the regional bulletin, 355 Covid cases in addition, bringing the total number of infections to 121,770. The average age of new cases is 46 years toward.
The swabs made between yesterday and today were 6,387 of which 5.6% positive. I am instead 2,688 the suspected cases analyzed of which the 13.2% it tested positive. To these are added the 2,700 rapid antigenic swabs that are currently being made.
Between yesterday and today I am 418 Tuscans healed that grew 0.4% and reached 108,092 (88.8% of all cases).
The positives currently that are today fall 9,948, -0.7% compared to yesterday, 981 of them are hospitalized (17 more than yesterday), of which 147 in intensive care (8 more). I am instead 8,967 positive people in home isolation, as they have mild symptoms that do not require hospital care or have no symptoms (90 less than yesterday, less 1%)
The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the change compared to yesterday:
– 33,945 cases in total to date in Florence (160 more than yesterday), 10,479 in Prato (16 more), 10,528 in Pistoia (10 more),
– 7,750 in Massa (11 more), 12,727 in Lucca (24 more), 16,902 in Pisa (28 more), 8,808 in Livorno (41 more),
– 10,753 in Arezzo (25 more), 5,098 in Siena (36 more), 4,225 in Grosseto (4 more).
555 positive cases were reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions. Currently 197 cases have been found in the ASL Center, 93 in the Northwest, 65 in the Southeast.
Tuscany ranks 12th in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 3,265 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average of around 3,547 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The provinces with the highest notification rate are Prato with 4,066 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Pisa with 4,034, Massa Carrara with 3,977, and Grosseto the lowest with 1,906.
There are 16,416 (836 less than yesterday, less 4.8%) people, also isolated, in active surveillance because they have had contact with infected people (ASL Center 3,822, Northwest 8,984, Southeast 3,610).
3,730 have died since the beginning of the epidemic as follows: 1,257 in Florence, 255 in Prato, 279 in Pistoia, 392 in Massa Carrara, 348 in Lucca, 435 in Pisa, 270 in Livorno, 220 in Arezzo, 128 in Siena , 92 in Grosseto, 54 people died on Tuscan soil but were residents outside the region.
Tuscany’s crude death rate (number of deaths / resident population) for Covid-19 is 100.0 x 100,000 residents versus 124.2 x 100,000 for the Italian average (11th region). Regarding the provinces, the highest mortality rate is found in Massa Carrara (201.2 x 100,000), Florence (124.3 x 100,000) and Pisa (103.8 x 100,000), the lowest in Grosseto (41.5 x 100,000)
