On Friday, Saturday and Sunday – in compliance with the commissioner’s order – anti-Covid services were carried out both in the center of Foggia and in the towns of the province, Cerignola, San Severo, Manfredonia and Lucera.
Inter-force device made up of police officers from the Foggia police station and administrative police, the crime prevention department, as well as soldiers from the financial police, the carabinieri and the local police.
The device performed a service aimed at verifying compliance with all the requirements imposed by the latest decrees, as well as the latest union ordinances.
People were reviewed to verify their position regarding the prohibition of entering and leaving the regional territory and the prohibition of moving to municipalities other than their residence or domicile.
People were searched on the street after 10 pm when there is a driving ban, except in cases of necessity and urgency, for work or health reasons, which can be accredited and justified by showing self-certification. A couple found walking through the center of Foggia after 10 pm was punished without justification.
Commercial activities were also verified, with regard to the new restrictions for the suspension of catering, bars, ice cream parlors, patisseries, for which home catering is allowed until 10:00 p.m. without restrictions.
In Foggia, the owner of a pizzeria was punished because after 10 pm the activity of selling take-out food continued.
In the capital, specific services were also carried out to enforce the union ordinance of November 13, which closed some areas of the urban area.
In Lucera, the owner of a supermarket was punished because the activity did not comply with the anti-covid regulations. In addition, controls were carried out on individual subjects, to find out any obligation of home quarantine ordered by the health authority.
At the end of the activities, 453 people were identified, 201 vehicles were searched, 3 fines were raised for violations of C. di S., 17 commercial activities were reviewed and highs were reported for 8 violations of anti-covid laws.
