Yes, maybe my father had one, with the year he was in the army.” Even among the remains of those two bodies, packed in suitcases, there is ink from an old tattoo. Is this the track to follow? Among researchers, the reserve is maximum. Because in addition to naming those remains, they also need to find a killer. Or the killers. The analysis shows that the three suitcases – but a fourth is also being sought – had been in the field for about a year under the Florence-Pisa-Livorno highway: the roots of the brambles had managed to insinuate themselves inside.

The murder appears to have taken place in a house. On his legs, which are in two different bags, there are striped socks. Whoever broke those bodies into pieces, was “careful” in packing them, wrapping them in cellophane and duct tape. Except then drop them from above the highway noise barrier. According to investigators, each piece of luggage was thrown from a fairly high vehicle, such as a pickup truck, which was crawling down the highway towards Florence. So at least two people. At that point, however, even if Sollicciano’s prison is a few feet away, there are no lights or cameras.
