(ANSA) – BERBENNO DI VALTELLINA, SEPTEMBER 20 – The report to the Fire Brigade arrived this morning, around 10: “There is a body floating in the Adda, in San Pietro a Berbenno, near the Libera pastry shop”, they reported two fishermen. The corpse was rescued right at the indicated point and, as the hours passed, the possibility that this young woman is 15-year-old Hasfa, swallowed by the river on September 1, while she was with her cousin and others relatives, it became more and more concrete: Parque Bartesaghi, in Sondrio, where he lived.
The girl has never been found again, despite days and days of intense searches, including “massive” ones, organized by the prefect Salvatore Pasquariello. And although every day since she had returned from Morocco shortly after the tragedy, she was also searched for by Father Hamed Ben Duod, 37, a sawmill worker, who came to the Adda by bicycle and often dove there, swimming with Hoping to find him stranded somewhere in the very muddy creek.
Now for the possible and tragic turning point: the body caught in the Adda today has characteristics quite similar to the adolescent’s description, also with regard to height, and there is full compatibility between the places of disappearance and those of the discovery. There are no reports of other youths missing in Valtellina.
The State Police are dealing with the case and, at the moment, the police are only cautiously saying that scientific investigations are being carried out. But doubts about identity are very few. (HANDLE).
