Tomorrow, Sunday, January 27, the first 910 doses of the Pfizer / Biontech anticovid vaccine will arrive in Piedmont for the symbolic start of the vaccination campaign, which in this first phase will affect health personnel and RSA operators and guests.

The “Vaccine Day”, as it was renamed by the European Union, will also involve Novara: among the structures identified throughout the region for the administration of the first doses of the vaccine, are the Maggiore hospital and the De Pagave institute . .

The product will be distributed in a Cryo-box, a bag that maintains a temperature of 2-8 °. Along with the vaccine, the supply of materials for administration (syringes, needles, diluents) is also provided. The staff of the “Amedeo di Savoia” hospital, the concentration point of the Piedmont Region, will divide the amounts allocated to the 10 points identified as those from which the vaccination campaign will begin “symbolically”, where the vials will be delivered by regional civil protection. Among these are, in fact, also the Maggiore hospital and the De Pagave institute in Novara.

The vaccination in De Pagave, which will affect around fifty guests and twenty operators, will be carried out on Sunday afternoon with an ASL team consisting of a doctor, two nurses from Sisp, two from De Pagave, 4 social health workers to sanitation, as well as administrative ASL staff for data entry.

In the Maggiore hospital, on the other hand, vaccination will involve around eighty operators, including doctors, health personnel (nurses, technicians, oss), university personnel, contractors and administrative personnel. Here, on December 27, there will be 16 vaccinations per hour.
