New infections registered within 24 hours are increasing slightly. But the swabs made have also increased notably: they are more than 92 thousand. There are 1,370 new cases of coronavirus in Italy (compared to 1,108 yesterday): Lombardy leading with 271, then Campania with 249, Puglia with 143 and Lazio with 129. The new tampons are 92,403, while yesterday they were 52,553. The number of patients admitted to intensive care has remained relatively low for weeks, although it is increasing and has exceeded 100: to date there are 143 (+1). However, also in intensive care, the very different trend compared to previous months is confirmed: on March 8, compared to 1,494 new cases, there were +83 hospitalized patients, while on September 8, with 1,370 new infections, intensive increased by one unit. In addition, in recent days, the average age of those newly infected has dropped to 32 years, according to the ISS, and many of these are asymptomatic (THE SITUATION IN ITALY WITH MAPS AND INFOGRAPHS).

Since the start of the pandemic, 280,153 people have tested positive for coronavirus in Italy, including those who have recovered and died. The victims, in total, are 35,563, with 10 dead in the last 24 hours (yesterday 12). The cured, again in the last 24 hours, are 563, for a total of 210,801. Those hospitalized with symptoms are 1,760 (+41). There are 31,886 people in home isolation (+754). There are 9,364,213 swabs in total, an increase of 92,403 compared to September 7. The cases analyzed are so far 5,636,663, net of how many swabs have been done. Among the bulletin notes we read “the Abruzzo Region announces that 1 case reported in the last days has been subtracted from the total positive cases, since it is in charge of another Region.”
