Coronavirus in Reggio Calabria, the Reunites bulletin: after 9 hospitalizations, 2 discharges and 3 transfers to the Gioia Tauro hospital, 125 CoViD-19 positive patients are admitted to the hospital
The Commercial Directorate of the GOM “Bianchi Melacrino Morelli” of Reggio calabria announces that there were two deaths in intensive care today. They are two men, the first, 73 years old, suffered from serious comorbidities. The second, 44, died of a severe head injury for which he was hospitalized. For this patient, the hospital admission swab was positive for SARS-CoV-2. The hospital expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims. 294 subjects were tested for COVID-19 today, of which 6 tested positive. After 9 hospitalizations, 2 discharges and 3 transfers to the Gioia Tauro hospital, 125 CoViD-19 positive patients are admitted to the hospital: 48 in ordinary hospitalization in the Operative Unit for Infectious Diseases, 43 in Pneumology, 25 in emergency medicine and 9 in care intensive. The patients accepted so far by the GOM are 324 (of these, 6 have had a double hospitalization for a total of 330 hospitalizations). 45 patients died (another 5 deaths occurred outside the Reggio Calabria hospital). There are 136 clinically cured patients. Eighteen patients transferred to another hospital. The Directorate of the GOM continues to recommend, especially in this time of serious emergency, compliance with the measures to prevent contagion, in particular remembering to respect interpersonal distance as well as maintaining responsible social behavior to protect the health of all. For the prevention and monitoring of the infection it is strongly recommended to use the “Immuni” application promoted by the Ministry of Health.
