Coronavirus in Reggio Calabria: after 3 hospitalizations and a transfer to intensive care, 109 CoViD-19 positive patients are admitted to the hospital
The Commercial Directorate of the GOM “Bianchi Melacrino Morelli” of Reggio calabria announces that in the last twenty-four hours there have been two deaths in the ICU. It is about a man and a woman, both 78 years old and suffering from serious diseases concomitant to COVID-19 infection. The Government of Mexico expresses its deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Today, 89 subjects were tested for CoViD-19. Of these, 3 tested positive. After 3 hospitalizations and a transfer to the ICU, 109 CoViD-19 positive patients were admitted to the hospital: 46 were in ordinary hospitalization in the Operative Unit for Infectious Diseases, 33 in Pneumology, 21 in the Emergency Department and 9 in Intensive Care. The patients accepted so far by the GOM are 478 (of these, 6 have had a double hospitalization for a total of 484 hospitalizations). 93 patients died, 224 clinically cured patients.
There are 52 patients transferred to another hospital. The GOM Management continues to recommend compliance with contagion prevention measures, in particular remembering to respect interpersonal distance and maintain responsible social behaviors to protect everyone’s health. For the prevention and monitoring of the infection it is strongly recommended to use the “Immuni” application promoted by the Ministry of Health.
