In Italy, 14,844 new positives have been registered in the last 24 hours, 2,814 more than yesterday, with 162,880 swabs performed (+59,296 compared to yesterday), so a percentage of positives compared to swabs of 9.1% was found ( yesterday 11.6%). The victims were 846, 355 more than yesterday. There are 3,003 patients admitted to intensive care, 92 less than yesterday, with 199 admissions for the day (138 yesterday). Patients with symptoms are 27,342,423 fewer than yesterday, while in home isolation there are 636,958 people (yesterday 644,249). The total of current positives is 667,303, up from 675,109 yesterday. Since the beginning of the infection, 1,137,416 people have been discharged / cured, 21,799 more than yesterday. In total, the Covid-19 cases were 1,870,576.
In the regions
Even today, the region with the highest number of infections in the 24 hours is confirmed as Veneto: 3,320. Next, Lombardy (2,404), Emilia-Romagna (1,238), Lazio (1,159), Piedmont (1,106) and Sicily (1,087). The region with the fewest new infections is also today the Aosta Valley (20).

231 new cases and 12 deaths in Sardinia
The total number of positive Covid-19 cases verified in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency amounted to 26,737. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 231 new cases (+3) were detected. Twelve deaths (600 in total). The victims are four residents of the metropolitan city of Cagliari, three from the province of Sassari, three from the province of Nuoro and two from southern Sardinia. In the last 24 hours, 3,604 swabs were made (426,556 in total). On the other hand, 570 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (10 less than yesterday), while the number of patients in intensive care is 58 (+1). There are 14,756 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 10,595 (+190) recovered patients, plus another 158 clinically recovered. In the territory, of 26,737 positive cases confirmed in total, 5,782 (+60) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,217 (+28) in southern Sardinia, 2,116 (+19) in Oristano, 5,272 (+48) in Nuoro, 9,350 (+76) in Sassari.

Basilicata: continuous decline, less than 100 positives
There were 64 positive swabs out of 922 tested in Basilicata in the last 24 hours, confirming that the second wave of the virus has stopped growing: this was announced by the regional working group, explaining that 60 of the new positives reside in Basilicata, where however, five other people died. In addition, in the last 24 hours, 46 people have recovered from covid, bringing the total to 3,112 (deaths so far have been 209). There are 5,975 “currently positive” Lucanians, of which 5,858 are in home isolation. 117 people are hospitalized: eleven in intensive care. Since the emergency began, 168,405 swabs have been tested in Basilicata, of which 156,791 were negative.
