Today there are 37,978 new infected with Coronavirus in Italy, 5,017 more than the 32,961 of yesterday, +2,880 the 35,098 of Tuesday. On the other hand, deaths from infection registered in the last 24 are 636, 33 more units: yesterday they were 603, 580 the day before. The total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic has reached 43,589. According to data released on Thursday, November 12 by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection, the positives are currently 635,054 (yesterday 613,358). The total number of cases (number that also includes the dead and those cured from Covid since the beginning of the epidemic) remains above one million, the threshold reached yesterday for the first time: 1,066,401.
For days, in addition to the number of new infections, the pressure on hospitals due to the second wave of Covid-19 has been worrying. Especially noteworthy are the figures that express hospital admissions, which today give encouraging signs: in fact, 89 new admissions were registered in intensive care units, bringing the total to 3,170 (yesterday there were 3,081). On the other hand, hospitalized patients with symptoms increased by 429 to 29,873 (29,444), while 602,011 people (+21,178; 580,833) are in home isolation under the control of the health authorities. The subjects declared cured so far, again according to the latest survey by the health authorities, are a total of 387,758 (372,113), with an increase of 15,645 units.

The Ministry of Health bulletin also registers more than 200 thousand swabs processed today, 234,672 to be exact, about 9 thousand more than yesterday. The ratio between positive and test goes back to 16.18% (16 of 100 swabs performed are positive), almost 2% more than yesterday, when it was 14.4%. The proportion was 17.1% on Tuesday. The total number of swabs performed since the start of daily follow-up increased to 18,200,508 and the total number of cases analyzed to 11,025,449.

The curve of new coronavirus infections in Veneto begins to grow again, with 3,564 new cases in 24 hours, which leads to breaking the ‘ceiling’ of 90 thousand cases, to 90,901. This was announced by President Luca Zaia. There are 38 new deaths, for a total of 2,727. In hospitals there are 1,876 hospitalized in non-critical areas (+103 compared to yesterday) and 221 in intensive care (+5). “Until the top of the curve comes – commented Zaia – we must be prepared for anything. We are moving towards 1,900 hospitalized in a non-critical area, in the first phase we reached 2,200, it would probably be a lot to reach the halfway point with 2,000-2,200 hospitalized.
