Coronavirus infections in Italy are on the rise again, after yesterday’s decline. There are 35,098 new cases of Covid-19 positive subjects at 5:40 p.m. on Tuesday, November 10, 9,827 more than the 25,271 registered yesterday. The current positives are 590,110, once again over half a million, reached for the first time on November 7. The total number of cases detected by health authorities since the beginning of the pandemic is 995,463. In the last 24 hours, according to data released jointly by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection, deaths from contagion are 580 (yesterday they were 356), while the total number of deaths registered since the start of the pandemic is 42,330.
The parameter to take into account to understand the trend of the second wave of Covid is that of hospital admissions, therefore, hospitalizations and intensive care. Today on this front there are 2,971 hospitalized in intensive care units (+122, yesterday there were 2,849); there are 28,633 hospitalized with symptoms (+997, yesterday were 27,636), while 558,556 people (542,849) are in home isolation under the control of the health authorities.

According to the latest survey, the declared subjects recovered so far are a total of 363,023 (345,289), with an increase of 17,734 units. The Ministry of Health bulletin records a number of swabs performed again in excess of 200 thousand tests: in the last 24 hours, 217,758 were processed, compared to 147,724 yesterday (+70,023). The total number of swabs performed since the beginning of daily monitoring has increased to 17,740,196 and the total number of cases analyzed to 10,765,561.
The regions with the most infections
Looking at the detailed data for individual regions, it is confirmed that Lombardy is by far the one with the highest daily increase in infected people (10,955), followed by Piedmont (3,659), Veneto (2,763) and Campania (2,716) and Lacio (2,608). Then there are Emilia-Romagna) (2,430), Tuscany (2,223), Puglia (1,245), Sicily (1,201), Liguria (1,172). Below a thousand infections we find Abruzzo (746), Marche (504), Sardinia (489), Umbria (485), Friuli Venezia Giulia (482), Calabria (409), Autonomous Province of Bolzano (375), Autonomous Province of Trento (243), Basilicata (224), Valle d’Aosta (127) and Molise (42).
In Veneto 48 deaths and 2,763 new infections
The death toll in today’s Covid newsletter in Veneto is high: 48 more deaths than yesterday, for a total of 2,643 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic. After the apparent slowdown at the weekend, the new positives also rose again, 2,763 in the last 24 hours, for a global figure of 8.4,255. A jump, however, less than the record of daily increases, more than 3,000, registered in recent days. The subjects in isolation are 16,034 (+923).
