Even on Sunday, when there is usually a lower number of swabs processed, the number of new infections in Sicily decreases: there are 298 in the last 24 hours out of 3,892 swabs (7.6% of positive tests). The number of people hospitalized exceeds 400 (404) to which must be added the patients in intensive care, from 38 yesterday to 42. Unfortunately there are three other victims.

On the other hand, few were cured (+14), while the current positives are 4,682. Of these, according to the Ministry of Health bulletin, 4,236 are in home isolation. New cases by province: Palermo 109; Catania: 71; Messina: 60; Trapani: 3; Syracuse: 29; Ragusa: 13; Enna: 4; Caltanissetta: 8; Agrigento 1.

The new Dpcm with more bans and restrictions for the Coronavirus emergency is expected later tonight. Today at 3:00 p.m. a meeting between the government and the Scientific Technical Committee began to define the last details that will enter the decree of the Prime Minister. At 5.30 pm, however, the meeting in the control room between the Presidents of the Regions and the local authorities with Minister Francesco Boccia. Then the new Dpcm should arrive to stop the infections. These are the hypotheses about the new measures in the government provision on the coronavirus emergency:

– closing of private parties: we think around a threshold of thirty people for guests to weddings and birthdays;
– near amateur contact sports such as futsal and basketball;
– tightening the number of spectators for sporting events;
– improvement of smart work;
– reduction of quarantine times for asymptomatic positives;
– obligation to wear a mask outdoors throughout Italy;
– new regulations for bars and restaurants: after 9 pm it will no longer be possible to consume food and drinks outside the premises. The closing will be at 11pm or midnight;
– greater control of public transport;
– Events that involve meetings in closed spaces or outdoors are suspended when it is not possible to ensure compliance with the conditions. (Go to full article)
