More than a thousand positives for Covid-19 in Sicily in the last 24 hours. Specifically, 1,095 new cases of contagion were registered on the island of the 8,547 swabs made. Another 16 deaths bring the number of deaths, from the start of the pandemic to today, to 518. A total of 1,131 people are hospitalized: another 37 people ended up in the hospital for the symptoms of the coronavirus (999 in total), while 10 they were transferred to intensive care units (132 in total).
On the territorial distribution front, taking into account the last day, there are 277 more positives in Palermo, 316 in Catania, 110 in Agrigento, 106 in Messina, 100 in Syracuse, 82 in Ragusa, 49 in Enna, 45 in Caltanissetta and 10 in Trapani. The number of people in home isolation – according to data from the bulletin released by the Ministry of Health – goes from 13,358 to 14,193 (+835). The current positives are 15,324 (+882 compared to yesterday), while 197 people have recovered and have been discharged (7,011 in total). The total number of infections in Sicily reaches 22,853.

Musumeci: “We must reduce mobility”
