There are 40,902 new cases of Covid-19 registered in Italy in the last 24 hours, for a total of 1,107,303 since the start of the pandemic, according to data from the Ministry of Health. 254,908 smears performed, 18,455,416 in total since the beginning of the infection.
The victims are 550, in total 44,139. There are 60 patients admitted to intensive care in the last 24 hours, for a total of 3,230. More than 30 thousand hospitalized with Covid symptoms in ordinary wards in Italy: with the increase of 1,041 units in the last 24 hours, now there are 30,914.
The Regions with the highest number of new cases are Lombardy (10,634), Piedmont (5,258), Campania (4,079), Veneto (3,605), Lazio (2,925), Tuscany (2,478) and Emilia Romagna (2,384).
The Minister of Health, Roberto Speranza, will sign a new ordinance in the afternoon that will take effect from Sunday, November 15. The Campania and Tuscany regions go into the red zone. The regions of Emilia Romagna, Friuli Venezia Giulia and Marche pass in the orange zone.
