In Italy the autumn wave of the coronavirus continues. There are 32,616 new positives in Covid-19 at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 8, 7,195 cases less than the 39,811 registered yesterday. The positives currently remain above half a million, reached on November 7: those recorded by the health authorities are actually 558,636. The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic is 935,105. . In the last 24 hours, according to data released jointly by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection, deaths from contagion are 331 (yesterday they were 425), while the total number of deaths registered since the start of the pandemic is 41,394.
The data that best express the trend of infection are those related to hospital admissions. Today there are 2,749 hospitalized in intensive care (+115, yesterday there were 2,634), those hospitalized with symptoms are 26,440 (25,109), while 529,447 people (504,732) are in home isolation under the control of the health authorities. The subjects declared recovered, again according to the last survey, are a total of 335,074 (328,891), with an increase of 6,183 units. The Ministry of Health’s bulletin then records a decrease in swabs performed, after days in which they were always above 200,000 daily tests: in the last 24 hours, 191,144 were processed, a sharp decrease – as always in the weekend – compared to 231,637 yesterday. The ratio between subjects who tested positive and swabs performed was 17.06 percent. The total number of swabs performed since the start of daily monitoring has increased to 17,374,713 and the total number of cases analyzed to 10,547,046.

Regions with the most infections
Looking at the detailed data of the individual regions, it is confirmed that Lombardy has the highest daily increase in infected people (6,318), followed by Campania (4,601), Piedmont (3,884), Veneto (3,362), Lazio (2,489) , from Tuscany (2,479), Emilia-Romagna (2,360) and Sicily (1,083). Below the thousand units we find Liguria (886), the autonomous province of Bolzano (781), Puglia (766), Umbria (660), Abruzzo (584), Friuli-Venezia Giulia (504) and the Marches (502). After Sardinia (424), Calabria (359), Basilicata (246), the Autonomous Province of Trento (182), Molise (91) and finally the Aosta Valley (55).
