Coronavirus, the data: 1,695 new cases. Drop tampons: there are 107 thousand. 16 victims, stable admissions to intensive care

The new cases of coronavirus registered in Italy are 1,695, almost in the line of Friday (1,733). Instead, the quantity of tampons decreases: 107,658, in the face of 113,085 the test of the day before. On the other hand, deaths increase: 16, five more than yesterday (11) for a total of 35,534 victims. Today is the highest number of deaths recorded in recent weeks. The number of discharged and recovered also increased: 209,610, almost 600 more. According to data provided by the Ministry of Health, in total since the beginning of the emergency they have been infected 276,338 people.

After days of continuous increase, they are confirmed stable in the last 24 hours. patients in intensive care: 121. Patients with symptoms (1,620, +13) and people in home isolation (29,453, + 1,181). Also increase to currently positive, which have already exceeded the quota of 30 thousand (31,194, almost a thousand more).

A week ago, saturday August 29, the registered cases were two hundred less: 1,444, which arose thanks to 100 thousand swabs. The cases found between Monday and Saturday were almost 8,120 thousand more of the previous one. In fact, between Monday, August 24 and Saturday, 29 there were 7,508. Whereas, two weeks ago, 4,221. But if you compare the trend of this week with that of last month, you can see that in the same time interval the cases discoveredI had been a fourth: 2,033 infections in week 3 to 8 of August.

Only the Aosta Valley and Molisand record zero cases: the largest increase in Lombardy, which is close to 400 cases (388). The most affected province continues to be Milan with 184 cases, of which 112 in the city. They follow the Veneto (188 cases) in Lazio (158 cases) andEmilia romagna (134 cases). The Lazio Health Minister, Alessio D’Amato, confirms a “prevalence of return cases – especially in the capital – and the links continue from Sardinia ”. The island, observed with special attention for the outbreaks linked to holiday destinations, today reports 65 new positives and one death in Sassari.
