Visibly decreases, for the second day in a row, the relationship between new infections of coronavirus in Italy and the swabs made. The number of positive registered in the last 24 hours, has grown by almost 3,000 units, from 8,585 yesterday to 11,212 today, according to data provided by the Ministry of Health, but they have almost doubled tests performed: 128,740 against only 68,681 yesterday. Therefore, the positivity rate falls from 12.5% to8.7%, marking -3.8% in a single day. Instead, the number of victims that today were 659, compared to 445 yesterday, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to 73,029.
To these numbers is added the relative ai healed and discharged that in the last 24 hours there were 17,044. This has eased the pressure on the Covid departments of Italian hospitals: in fact, there is a decrease in care both in intensive care (-16), decreasing the total to 2,549, which in other departments dedicated to coronavirus patients (-270) who generally become 23,662. Finally, there are 542,517 people who are in isolation at home, for a total of currently positive which amounts to 568,728.
Among the Regions most affected by the new wave of the pandemic, the Veneto that in the last 24 hours registered 2,655 positive cases. The dead are 191 more, since it makes a total of 6,298 dead. The Region announces that this high number is due, however, to the load failure in the systems of some who died in recent days. In the last hours, the number of hospitalized people has decreased by 9 (2,998) while, on the other hand, 10 more places have been filled in intensive care (397 in total).
Subsequently, the Region that registers the highest number of infections is the Lazio, with 12.18, followed by Sicily (995), dall ‘Emilia romagna (894) and by Lombardy (843).
