The new cases of Coronavirus reported in the Civil Protection bulletin and the Ministry of Health are increasing: in the last 24 hours, the increase in infections has been 1,640, yesterday was equal to 1,391 and two days ago 1,350. The total number of cases identified in Italy since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to an altitude 302,537. The current data is obtained against a large number of processed swabs: 103,696, for a total of 10,679,675 tests performed. Yesterday, September 22, the tests analyzed had been carried out 87,303.
The death count has reached the figure of 35,758, twenty more than the day before. Currently, positive people in Italy are 46,114. Of these, 2,658 are hospitalized with symptoms and 42,212 they are in home isolation. Patients admitted to the ICU are 244, five more than yesterday. The regions with the highest increase in cases today are Campania (248), Lombardy (196) and Lazio (195).
