Just yesterday an absolute record was recorded in the United Kingdom: there have never been so many infections in a single day, since – almost a year ago – the Coronavirus pandemic broke out in Europe. Today that record (approx. 41 thousand cases) has been largely outweighed by a very strong increase in new positives: beyond 53 thousand recorded in the last 24 hours, a really impressive increase. There Bbc refers to the precision of 53,135 new infections. As for the victims, they were registered in one day 414, which is also increasing compared to 357 dead yesterday.

The United Kingdom is once again “in the eye of the storm” due to the Coronavirus pandemic, commented the head of the British health service before the sharp increase in cases in recent days. The country’s hospitals are in serious trouble and in several cases have reached the limit of capacity, with a number of hospitalizations even higher than that registered last April, at the peak of the first wave. Sir Simon Stevens, during a visit to one of the vaccination centers, assured that “by the end of spring all people at risk will be vaccinated.”
