Good news comes from the bulletin on the progress of the covid-19 health emergency in the Forlì area. Compared to the figures reported on Tuesday, new positives were reduced by half on Wednesday: from 87 to 40. It is not yet possible to establish whether the fall is a first effect of the dpcm that came into effect in recent weeks; in fact more data is needed to prove it, however this is an encouraging update after days of negative news. Also because there are no cases in schools among students and teachers and new deaths in the Forlì area. Of the newly infected, 28 presented symptoms. In detail, thirteen discovered that they had contracted the virus through the swab requested by the family doctor, while the other 12 from the contact tracing activity. This is the distribution of cases: one in Bertinoro, one in Civitella, 28 in Forlì, two in Forlimpopoli, one in Galeata, two in Meldo, in, two in Predappio and two in Santa Sofia. In Cesenate there are 44 cases and one death, a 91-year-old man.

So in Emilia Romagna

In Emilia-Romagna there were 2,428 more than on Tuesday, out of a total of 20,670 swabs performed in the last 24 hours (in addition to these 3,964 serological tests). The percentage of new positives on the number of tampons manufactured is 11.7% on Wednesday. The control and prevention activity continues: of the newly infected, 1,292 asymptomatic people identified as part of the regional contact tracing and detection activities. Overall, 279 of the new positives were already isolated at the time of smear and 415 were identified in known outbreaks.

The median age of new positives on Wednesday is 46.2 years. Of 1,292 asymptomatic patients, 351 were identified thanks to contact tracing, 87 through tests for risk categories introduced by the Region, 6 with serological examinations, 15 through pre-hospital tests. The epidemiological investigation is still ongoing for 833 cases. The contagion situation in the Emilia-Romagna provinces sees Modena with 599 new cases and Bologna with 527; followed by Reggio Emilia (275), Ravenna (168), Ferrara (162), Rimini (153), Parma (135), Piacenza (117). Then Imola (208), Cesena (44) and Forlì (40).

Active cases, that is, the number of actual patients, on Wednesday is 43,891 (2,111 more than on Tuesday). Of these, people isolated at home, that is, those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment or are asymptomatic, add up to a total of 41,597 (+2,052 compared to yesterday), almost 95% of the total active cases. Unfortunately, there are 31 new deaths: 8 in the province of Modena (3 women – 77, 78 and 88 years old – and 5 men, 82, 84, 90 and two of 87); 6 in the city and province of Parma (all men, respectively 42, 51, 83, 85, 89, 92); 6 in Ravenna (a 92-year-old woman and 5 men of 77, 84, 88, 91, 93 years old respectively), 5 in Reggio Emilia (a 91-year-old woman and 4 men of 81, 83, 84 respectively and 99 years), 3 in the province of Bologna (a 96-year-old woman from Bologna and, in the Imola district, another 94-year-old woman and an 84-year-old man); 2 in Piacenza (both men, respectively 78 and 88 years old); one in the province of Forlì-Cesena (a 91-year-old man from Cesena). Since the beginning of the coronavirus epidemic, there have been a total of 4,876 deaths in Emilia-Romagna.

The patients admitted to intensive care are 222 (+7), 2,072 those from other Covid departments (+52). In the territory, patients admitted to intensive care are distributed as follows: 12 in Piacenza (+1), 17 in Parma (-1), 20 in Reggio Emilia (+2), 45 in Modena (+4 ), 65 in Bologna (no change), 6 in Imola (no change), 15 in Ferrara (+2), 13 in Ravenna (+1), 5 in Forlì (no change), 5 in Cesena (no change) and 18 in Rimini (-2). The total number of people healed increased to 29,516 (+286).
