At a State-Regions conference, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte gave the green light to regionalized openings in low-contagion areas, giving the possibility of Rome’s intervention to shut everything down in the event of an increase in coronavirus positives. From Monday in Sicily, bars, restaurants, hairdressers and shops will reopen, as confirmed by the Palazzo d’Orleans. Therefore, Governor Nello Musumeci will sign an order before Thursday to allow these openings, which he himself requested, among other things, in recent days. Ministers Roberto Speranza and Francesco Boccia were also present at the meeting.

“The phase of responsibility for the Regions begins,” reiterated the Minister of Autonomies, Francesco Boccia, to the governors, who for days had already opened up the possibility of opening in a differentiated way according to the condition in which the different territories are located and had focused on responsibility of the Regions. “If the infections decrease, they can reopen other things, if the infections increase, they should decrease,” he reiterated.
