The Prevention Department in consideration of the cases that have arisen in recent days in the province of Arezzo, Grosseto and Siena has intensified the activity of tracing close contacts. This activity has so far highlighted four contacts for the Arezzo cases, four contacts for the Grosseto cases, four contacts for the Siena cases that have already been immediately isolated.
At this time, 1,916 people from the Local Health Authority of Southeast Tuscany are already in home isolation, either because of a known case contact or because they come from other countries. The positives in charge are 543. There are nine hospitalized in the infectious diseases hospital of the Misericordia hospital in Grosseto, 11 in the infectious diseases hospital and three in intensive care at the San Donato hospital in Arezzo.
The identification of the cases and the tracing of the contacts was possible by performing 1,753 swabs.
