Coronavirus, phase 2 progresses well in Sicily: current positives continue to decline

PALERMO – One week after the first reopens, Phase 2 can be said to be still reassuring in Sicily. Due to the increase in healing, the number of current positives continues to decrease, which is 2,069 today, less eleven than yesterday. Among other things, there were no deaths and hospitalizations also decreased with only 16 patients in intensive care.

This is the summary of the situation on the island, updated at 3 pm today, regarding the emergence of Coronavirus, as reported by the Sicily Region to the National Crisis Unit.

Since the beginning of the controls, 102,403 swabs were made (+855 compared to yesterday), out of 91,748 people: 3,327 (+14) were positive, while 2,069 (-11) are still infected, 1,002 have healed (+25) and 256 died (0).

Of the current 2,069 positives, 289 patients (-5) are hospitalized, of which 16 are in intensive care (-1), while 1,780 (-6) are in home isolation.
