Lombardy is driving the jump in cases, doubling them in 24 hours (+4,125), followed by Piedmont (1,799), Campania (1,760), Veneto (1,422) and Lazio (1,219). The only two regions with a double-digit increase are Molise (22) and Basilicata (85). The total number of cases since the beginning of the pandemic amounts to 449,648.
2,369 cured in 24 hours (2,046 yesterday), for a total of 257,374. Strong increase in the number of positive people currently: there are 12,703 more (yesterday +8,736), and now there are 155,442. Of them, 145,459 are in home isolation, 12,044 more than yesterday.
Despite the record of more than 177 thousand swabs, the ratio between tested and positive cases detected continues to rise, true index of the ability to track and trace the system. The swabs used precisely to test the possible infected, which therefore generated the 15,199 cases today, are 106,488 today, with a ratio with positives increased to 14.27% compared to 12.4% yesterday.
More “reassuring”, but inappropriate, the relationship between total buffers and new positives, which today is 8.54% (yesterday 7.5%)In fact, the total number of tests also includes control tests to certify the cures that have occurred, so the data is not homogeneous. It is no coincidence that for several months the table provided daily by the Ministry of Health has distinguished between total swabs and swabs used to detect new positives.
