Coronavirus, nine new positives: five had symptoms

Another 23 cases in the province of Forlì-Cesena of positivity to covid-19. In the Forlì area there are nine, five of which have symptoms, while in Cesenate, out of 14 new positives, seven are close contacts of already known cases, verified mainly at the family level, two refer to the return from other regions (Sardinia ) and one from abroad (Albania); the remaining four positives were identified by the presence of symptoms. This is the distribution of the new cases: six Forlì, two Forlimpopoli, one Galeata, eight Cesena, one Cesenatico, one Gambettola, one Mercato Saraceno, one Roncofreddo, one San Mauro Pascoli and one Savignano. As for the newly infected in the Forlì area, two are attributable to a return from Albania, five to positive contacts and others to screening tests. There were no cases on Monday related to the Cervia nightclub outbreak.

The situation in Emilia Romagna

Since the start of the coronavirus epidemic, 31,922 positive cases have been recorded in Emilia-Romagna, 117 more than on Sunday, of which 57 asymptomatic identified in the context of regional contact tracing and detection activities. The control and prevention activity continues: of the 117 new cases, 53 were already in isolation at the time of the swab and 40 were identified in the context of known outbreaks. There are 20 new infections related to returns from abroad, for which the Region has provided two nasopharyngeal swabs during fiduciary isolation if they arrive from non-Schengen countries and one swab if they return from Greece, Spain, Croatia and Malta. . The number of return cases from other regions is 18.

The average age of new positives today is 38 years. Of the 57 new asymptomatic patients, 22 were identified through screening and tests introduced by the Region, 28 through contact tracing, while 2 cases arose from prehospital tests and the origin of 5 is still unknown. Regarding the situation in the territory, the provinces with the highest number of cases are Parma (21), Ravenna (17), Bologna (14), Modena (10) and Cesena (14).

In the province of Parma, out of 21 new cases, 5 returned from abroad (1 from Belarus, 1 from Ukraine, 1 from Albania and 2 from Moldova), 3 returned from other regions (Sardinia), 2 have been identified thanks to localization of contacts, 4 thanks to screening in the occupational categories with the highest risk, 1 after prehospital controls and 6, finally, due to the presence of symptoms. In Ravenna and its province, of the 17 new cases, 14 are related to the tracking of already known cases, mainly at the family level; of the rest, a new positive was identified upon returning from abroad (Senegal) and two due to the presence of symptoms.

In the province of Bologna, out of 14 new infections, 3 refer to the already known outbreak in a Cervia nightclub, 3 are attributable to family outbreaks, 2 return from abroad (Spain and Greece) and 6 from other regions (of which 5 of Sardinia). In Modena and its province, out of 10 new cases, 4 return from other Italian regions (2 of which from Sardinia), 2 return from abroad (Iceland and Ukraine), 1 is a contact of an already known positive while the 3 remaining were rubbed to detect the presence of symptoms.

The swabs made yesterday are 6,132, for a total of 899,733. To these are added 2,079 serological tests. Active cases, that is, the number of real patients, on Monday are 2,977 (109 more than those registered on Sunday). Unfortunately, there are 4 deaths in Emilia-Romagna: one in Piacenza province, one in Reggio Emilia province, one in Modena and one in Bologna. People in isolation at home, or those with mild symptoms that do not require hospital treatment, or are asymptomatic, are a total of 2,862 (+104 compared to Sunday), 95% of active cases. Intensive care patients dropped to 9 (-2), while 106 were hospitalized in the other Covid wards (+7 compared to Sunday). A total of 24,482 people recovered (+4 compared to Sunday): 25 “clinically cured”, that is, who were asymptomatic after presenting clinical manifestations associated with the infection, and 24,457 those declared completely cured because they were negative in two consecutive tests .
