It is about 1,638 new cases of coronavirus at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 0.55% more than the previous day, when the new infections were 1,907. The total number since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 296,569. The deaths in the last 24 hours are 24 and bring the total to 35,692 (+ 0.06%). What worries the deaths is a real increase. Such a high figure has not been registered since July 7, when the victims were 30. Currently there are 43,161 positives (+ 1.56%) of which 2,380 hospitalized with symptoms (-0.29%). There are 215 people in the ICU, 3.36% more every day. On the other hand, 40,566 positives went through home isolation (+ 1.76%). Those cured, between Friday and Saturday, were 909 (+ 0.41%). This is the table that emerges from the latest data processed by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection based on 103,223 swabs made, compared to 99,839 the day before. At the level of individual regions, the one that stands out for the highest number of new cases is Lombardy (243) where there is also the highest number of deaths (9). They are followed by Lazio (197), Veneto (186), Campania (149), Tuscany (143) and Emilia Romagna (133). Further back we find Puglia (108) and Sicily (98).
Lombardy, 21,721 swabs made
There are 243 positive cases and 21,721 swabs performed in Lombardy for a percentage equal to 1.11%. And there have been nine victims of Covid. 326 recovered or discharged people were admitted to intensive care 4. The province with the most cases is still Milan with 89, of which 36 in the city. Thirty-seven new positives in Brescia and Monza and Brianza, 14 in Pavia, 12 in Varese. 9 in Como, 8 in Lecco, 4 in Sondrio, 3 in Lodi, 2 in Cremona.
Veneto, 186 other infections
In Veneto there are 186 new infections compared to Friday, with a total of 25,609 and five new deaths, bringing the total to 2,158. The current positives are 3,045, +36 compared to the day before. There are 7,806 people in home isolation (+234), of which 160 are positive (+1). The patients in non-critical wards are 176 (+9), of which 125 are positive (+10); in intensive care there are 17 patients (+1) of which 10 (+2) positive.

On Friday, September 18, in Italy there were 1,907 new cases and 10 deaths. 853 cured in 24 hours, while the number of positives currently amounted to 42,457, with an increase of 1,044 units. The pressure on hospitals is also growing with the number of hospitalized patients returning to 2,387 (+39) and the number of patients in intensive care falling to 208 (-4). The positives in home isolation were then 39,862 (+1,009).
