Coronavirus, mandatory outdoor masks in the center of Foggia and shopping centers closed on Sundays

As of tomorrow, September 25, it will be mandatory to correctly wear the Personal Protective Equipment outdoors (community mask, disposable mask or washable mask, even of own production, in multilayer materials suitable to provide an adequate barrier), in pedestrian areas. with a greater added vocation of the historic center of the city, more affected by the presence of public establishments and commercial activities and by a constant and conspicuous concentration of people, where due to the nature, suitability and physical characteristics of these places it is easier to form gatherings also of a spontaneous and / or occasional nature and where it is not possible to guarantee compliance with the regulations on social distancing, with the exception of children under 6 years of age and for subjects who present forms of certified incompatibility with the continued use of the mask.

This is what establishes the new ordinance signed by the mayor of Foggia Franco Landella: the areas particularly affected are: corso Vittorio Emanuele, via Lanza, via Duomo, via Dante, via Oberan, via Arpi, largo degli Scopari, piazza Duomo, piazza From Sanctis, Piazza Mercato, Piazza Cesare Battisti.

Also with the same ordinance, considering the atmospheric changes that may favor aggregation in shopping centers, it orders the closure to the public, on Sundays and holidays, of the large commercial structures in the municipal area (Mongolfiera and GrandApulia). The prohibition to open these facilities takes effect on Sunday, September 27, 2020 and until further notice.

The union ordinance responds to the need to prevent the spread of the Covid19 pandemic, “which is worryingly affecting the city of Foggia, where there is an exponential increase in positive cases, attested by the high number of infections in the Rssa Ual Unione Amigos de Lourdes in viale Ofanto and a municipal employee who worked in the municipal registry obtained a positive result, with the consequent precautionary measure for the temporary closure of said office ”, is explained in the union measure.
