There are 1,458 new cases of contagion by Covid-19 that are registered today in Italy, 43 less than yesterday, when there were 1,501. The current positives thus reach 38,509 compared to 37,503 on September 12. The total number of cases of contagion detected is 287,753 (289,297). According to data published in the daily bulletin released by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection in the last 24 hours there are also seven deaths, one less than those counted yesterday, figures that increase the total number of victims since the start of the Covid emergency to 35,610 (35,603).

Moving on to the swabs made, as always there is a decrease due to the weekend: in fact there are 72,143, below Saturday (92,706) and last Friday (98,880). The total number of swabs performed since the start of follow-up amounts to 9,818,118, and the total number of cases analyzed 5,924,322.
Intensive care continues to grow
In the field of health, there is also a further increase in the number of infected patients hospitalized in intensive care: 187 (yesterday they were 182, Friday 175). In contrast, the number of discharged / cured patients was 213,634 (213,191). In contrast, patients with symptoms amounted to 2,042 (1,951). The infected under observation in home isolation are 36,280 (35,370).
In Lombardy 265 positives and three deaths
In Lombardy, the number of positives compared to swabs made amounts to 2%. Of 12,844 swabs, in fact, 265 cases were registered, of which 29 ‘weakly positive’ and 5 after serological tests. There are 28 patients in intensive care (one more than yesterday) and 252 in the other wards (with one more hospitalization). There are three deaths, bringing the grand total to 16,899. Regarding the Provinces, 88 positives were identified in Milan, of which 47 in the city, in Monza 34, in Como 29, in Brescia 27, in Bergamo 18, in Varese 13, in Pavia 12, in Lodi and Cremona eight , seven in Mantua and two in Lecco and Sondrio respectively.
In Piedmont 82 infected, less hospitalized
There are 82 (59 of which asymptomatic) new coronavirus infections reported today by the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit, following the result of 3,728 swabs. The number of hospitalized patients is decreasing: 8 remain in intensive care (against 9 yesterday) and in the rest of the wards, 100 (-4). There are 1989 people in home isolation, with an increase of 72 in one day. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 638,051, of which 357,884 were negative.
