In Italy there are 359,569 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic: +4,619 compared to yesterday when they were +5,456 (5,724 on October 10). The number of deaths amounts to 36,205: +39 compared to yesterday when they were +26 (+29 the day before). The swabs processed in the last 24 hours were 85,442: a sharp drop, as always after the weekend, compared to 104,658 yesterday (they were 133,084 on October 10, a record since the start of the epidemic). This is what emerges from the data of the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection.

Those cured continue to grow, reaching 240,600 (+891). The number of positives is currently increasing, which is now 82,764 (+3,689). The pressure on hospitals also grows with the number of hospitalized patients returning to 4,821 (+302) – we have to go back to June 7 to find a similar figure: at that time there were 4,864 – and the number of patients in intensive care who it also goes up to 452 (+32). Regions with the highest number of infections

While Molise and Basilicata registered the lowest number of infections (7 and 11 respectively), the highest number of new infections is concentrated in Lombardy with 696 positives out of 13,934 swabs. Followed by Campania with 662 positives out of 7,405 swabs, Tuscany with 466 positives out of 8958 swabs, Piedmont with 454 positives out of 6,386 swabs, Lazio with 395 positives out of 13,830 swabs.
