In Italy there are 314,861 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic: +1,851 compared to yesterday when they were +1,648 (+1,494 on September 28). The death toll amounts to 35,894: +19 compared to yesterday when they were +24 (+17 the day before). The swabs processed in the last 24 hours were 105,564 (for a total of 11,333,922): an increase from 90,158 yesterday (they were 51,109 on September 28). This is what emerges from the data of the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection.
Those cured continue to grow until reaching 227,704 (+1,198). It also increases the number of positives currently, which are now 51,263 (+633). The pressure on hospital structures remained substantially stable with the number of hospitalized patients falling to 3,047 (-1) and that of patients in intensive care rising to 280 (+9). The positives in home isolation are 47.936 (+625).
Campania even earlier for infections
The regions with the lowest number of new positives are Molise and Valle d’Aosta with 6 each. The infections mainly affect Campania, which is reconfirmed as the region with the highest number of new cases (287), followed by Lazio (210), Lombardy (201), Sicily and Piedmont (270), Veneto (155), Tuscany. (120).
Lombardy
By number of cases since the beginning of the epidemic, Lombardy is still the most affected region with 106,727 infections: +201 precisely compared to yesterday, when they were +203. There are 18,804 daily mattresses (bringing the total to 2,108,944), up from 13,791 yesterday (7,933 on September 28). The percentage of positives with respect to the number of buffers is equal to 1%, compared to 1.4% yesterday.
The total of deceased amounts to 16,955: +4 compared to yesterday, when they were +3 (and +2 the day before). The number of healed and discharged continues to increase: 80,712 (+236). The number of hospitalized patients decreased: 306 (-9) and the number of patients in intensive care remained substantially stable: 34 (+1).
