There are 16,999 new positives for coronavirus at 5 pm on Thursday, December 10, and they bring the total, since the beginning of the pandemic, to 1,787147 (+ 0.96% day-to-day). The deaths, in the last 24 hours, were 887 (+ 1.43%) to add the 62,626 units in February to this part. The positives currently counted in Italy are 696,527 (-1.96%) and of these 29,088 hospitalized with symptoms (565 less, day to day, -1.90%) and 3,291 in intensive care (29 less, -0, 87% ). The people subjected to home isolation are 664,148 (-1.97%). 30,099 (+3.01) were discharged and cured in the last 24 hours. More than one million (1,027,994) people have overcome the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. This is the table that emerges after the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, prepared from 171,586 smears made against 118,475 on Wednesday, December 9. The ratio of positive / total swabs drops to 9.90% (the previous day was 10.76%, the goal is 2%), while the ratio of positive / new cases analyzed is 23.90% (the previous day was 25.04%, the target is 3%).

Seven regions above a thousand

At the level of individual regions, for the second day in a row, Veneto stands out for new cases (4,197). It is followed by Lombardy (2,093), Lazio (1,488), Emilia Romagna (1,453), Puglia (1,332), Campania (1,198) and Sicily (1,059). Below a thousand, however, Piedmont (974), Friuli Venezia Giulia (672), Tuscany (517), Trentino Alto Adige (461), Marche (323), Liguria (320), Sardinia (248), Abruzzo (227 ), Umbria (182), Calabria (169), Basilicata (46), Molise (22) and Valle d’Aosta (18).

Veneto, 4,197 other infections

New and strong increase in Covid cases in Veneto, registering 4,197 new infections in the last 24 hours, for a total of 177,568 since the beginning of the epidemic. However, 427 positivity reports sent by a private laboratory, swabs processed as of November 30 and inserted just now, are also included in this count, explains the regional bulletin. The serious situation of the virus in the region is also reflected in the death toll: 148 more victims the day before, for a total of 4,551 victims. In hospitals, there are 2,865 patients in ordinary wards (+50) and 357 (+11) in intensive care units. The current positives are 83,137 (+2,119).

Puglia, new infections are 1,332

Of the 11,168 tests of coronavirus infection, 1,332 positive cases were recorded in Puglia: 266 in the province of Bari, 130 in the province of Brindisi, 289 in the province of Bat, 314 in the province of Foggia, 165 in the province of Lecce, 157 in the Taranto province, 7 residents outside the region, 4 cases of province of unknown residence. There are 55 deaths: 15 in the province of Bari, 1 in the province of Bat, 27 in the province of Foggia, 3 in the province of Lecce, 7 in the province of Taranto, 2 residents outside the region. Since the beginning of the emergency, 867,066 tests have been carried out: 17,870 patients are cured, 48,802 positive cases currently.

In Tuscany 75 deaths per day

Another 75 deaths among Covid patients are accounted for by the Tuscany Region (30 in the last 24 hours, while 45 were reported to the offices for deaths that occurred in the previous days): thus the total rises to 3,032 victims. Also in the 24 hours, the downward trend of new positives is confirmed, 517 more than the previous day (average age 49 years) with the total since the beginning of the epidemic equal to 110,440 units (+ 0.5% on Wednesday ). The swabs performed reached 1,680,849, 9,577 more than the previous day, of which 5.4% positive. Now the current positives are 22,332 (-9.2% as of December 9) of which 1,570 hospitalized (247 in intensive care) and 20,762 attended at home. There are now 29,909 people in quarantine (-185 on Wednesday) for contacts with infected people. There are 85,076 people cured (+2,715 the day before, + 3.3%): 456 are clinically cured (+18 in the 24 hours equal to + 4.1%) and 84,620 (+2,697 on Wednesday, + 3.3%) declared cured in all the aspects.
