In Italy there are 293,025 cases of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic: +1,585 compared to yesterday when they were +1,452 (+1,229 on September 15). The swabs processed in the last 24 hours were 101,773 (for a total of 10,146,324) – an increase compared to 100,607 yesterday (they were 80,517 on September 15). This is what emerges from the data of the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection.
Those cured continue to grow, reaching 215,954 (+689). The number of positives also increases today, which is now 41,413 (+881). The pressure on hospitals is also growing with the number of hospitalized patients returning to 2,348 (+63) – we must go back to June 21 to find a similar figure: at that time there were 2,314 – and the number of patients in intensive care that rises at 212 (+5). The positives in home isolation are 38.853 (+813).
Regions with zero infections
Today, no region can boast zero new infections: 1 for Valle d’Aosta, 2 for Molise and all other regions follow. The highest number of new infections was registered in Lombardy with 281 cases (yesterday 159), followed by Campania with 195 (yesterday 186), Lazio with 181 (yesterday 165), Tuscany with 119 (yesterday 90), Emilia-Romagna with 110 ( yesterday 106), Veneto with 109 (yesterday 159).
Lombardy
In Lombardy, the most affected region, the cases of coronavirus since the beginning of the epidemic are 104,080: +281 compared to yesterday, when they were +159. There are 21,757 daily buffers (bringing the total to 1,889,861), up from 17,831 yesterday (19,399 on September 15). The total of deaths amounted to 16,906: +1 compared to yesterday, when they were +2 (and +2 the day before). The number of healed and discharged continues to increase: 78,240 (+130). The number of hospitalized patients increased slightly: 272 (+8) and that of patients in intensive care: 32 (+2).
Milan is the province of Lombardy that has the highest number of new coronavirus cases: 87 (yesterday there were 60), of which 42 in the city of Milan (yesterday 24). It is followed by Pavía with 42 (yesterday 6), Varese with 30 (yesterday 13), Brescia with 32 (yesterday 14).
