There are 12,756 new positives for coronavirus at 5 pm on Wednesday, December 9, bringing the total, since the beginning of the pandemic, to 1,770,149 (+ 0.73%). The deaths, in the last 24 hours, were 499 (+ 0.83%) to add 61,739 units in February to this part. The positives currently counted in Italy are 710,515 (-5.93% day to day) and of these 29,653 hospitalized with symptoms (-2.42%) and 3,320 in intensive care (-3.87%). People subjected to home isolation are 677,542 (-6.08%). 84,401 were discharged and cured in the last 24 hours. This is the table that emerges after the daily bulletin of the Ministry of Health, prepared from 118,475 swabs made, compared to 149,232 on Tuesday, December 8. The positivity rate is 10.8%, 0.8% more than Tuesday.
Veneto, first region by number of new cases: 2,427 in one day
At the level of individual regions, Veneto is the one with the highest number of new cases: there are 2,427. They are followed by Campania (1,361), Lazio (1,297), Lombardy (1,233) and Emilia Romagna (1,079). Below a thousand meters of altitude, we find Apulia (917), Piedmont (906), Sicilia (753), Friuli Venezia Giulia (633), Tuscany (505), Trentino Alto Adige (414), Abruzzo (264), Sardinia (253), Marche (229), Liguria (191), Calabria (139), Umbria (89), Basilicata (35), Valle d’Aosta (17), Molise (14).

Puglia, 917 other infections
There are 917 new positive Covid 19 cases registered in the last 24 hours in Puglia. A very high percentage, 33% of the tests performed less than usual, 2,758: the highest number of cases, 323, occurred in the province of Bari, 236 in the province of Foggia, 190 in the province of Brindisi, 97 in Lecce province, 35 in Bat province, 33 in Taranto province, 5 residents outside the region, two cases of province of unknown residence have been reclassified and reassigned. The dead were 20 and of these seven in the province of Bari, seven in the province of Taranto, three in the province of Foggia, one in the province of Brindisi, one in the province of Lecce, one resident outside the region.

In the last 24 hours, 229 positive for coronavirus in Marche on the basis of molecular swabs. This was announced by the Regional Health Service. In total, 2,087 people tested: 1,246 in the new diagnostic pathway (911 molecular swabs, 335 in detection with the antigen pathway) and 841 in the cured pathway. In the antigenic route, however, ten infections were detected, to be confirmed with molecular tests. Of the 229 cases derived from molecular swabs, 83 refer to people residing in the province of Pesaro Urbino, 76 in the province of Ancona, 38 in the province of Macerata, 20 in Ascolano, four in the province of Fermo and another eight positive they come from outside the region. Among those infected, 31 are symptomatic.

There were 14,842 new cases of coronavirus on Tuesday, December 8. The registered victims were 634. The proportion of positive swabs was just under 10 percent (9.94%). A downward trend in hospitalizations was observed, which, compared to the previous day, decreased by 443 units, while intensive care units decreased by 37 units. Sharp decline in the current positive which fell by 11,294 units.
