The ATMs at the Covid headquarters in the Bari Polyclinic are all negative
The components of the Covid headquarters established in the Policlinico di Bari on the occasion of the last elections for the Referendum and the Regionals in Puglia were all negative. At the request of the president of the polling station, Edoardo Giua, a regional civil protection official, the fourteen -among them presidents and tellers- who were part of polling station 346 where the ballots were collected from the 77 voters in the metropolitan area of Bari in quarantine or in isolation. Trustee, yesterday they underwent a swab at the Polyclinic collection center and the results were negative for all. “We have been in direct contact with the Covid positives, in their homes and in the neighborhood. This shows – Giua said – that, if used and correctly, personal protective equipment works and protects against the risk of contagion ”.
The votes of the “Covid voters” were collected on September 20 and 21 by the three special itinerant seats in twelve municipalities of the province (Bari, Acquaviva delle Fonti, Altamura, Conversano, Palo del Colle, Triggiano, Valenzano, Mola di Bari, Noicattaro, Cassano, Corato and Modugno) and in the Covid department of the Polyclinic. Civil protection volunteers from so-called “flying” polling stations arrived at the homes of voters who had applied to vote dressed in gowns, gloves, masks and goggles. The count was then carried out safely by handling each card deemed “contaminated” with disposable gloves.
