There are 25,271 new cases of coronavirus as of November 9, with 147,725 new swabs. Casualties increase by 356 units, while intensive care units increase by 100 units. Lombardy is confirmed as the epicenter of the pandemic with an increase of 4,777 cases, but there is also a significant increase in Campania (+3,120), Piedmont (+2,876), Tuscany (+2,244) and Veneto (see below).
In Veneto + 2223 cases
There are 2,223 new Covid-19 cases recorded in Veneto in the last 24 hours, bringing the total since the start of the pandemic to more than 80,000, to 81,492. The data comes from the Regional Bulletin, which reports 53,145 currently infected. There are also 21 more deaths than yesterday, with a total of 2,595. In hospitals there are 113 new admissions in non-critical wards (total 1,580), and 10 in intensive care, with a total of 203.

Umbria, more than 10,000 are currently positive
Today, for the first time, 10 thousand are currently positive for Covid in Umbria, 10,001, according to data reported on the Region’s website. On the last day, 314 new positives were registered, 15,253 in total, another nine deaths, 197 and 109 recovered, 5,055. A resulting image of 1,040 processed swabs, 330,852 in total. The number of people admitted to the hospital went from 415 to 424, 64 of them in intensive care (yesterday 62).
Piedmont Hospitalizations Increase 25% Compared to Last Spring
The number of people admitted to hospitals in Piedmont is 25% higher than last spring’s peak in ordinary or sub-intensive care hospitalizations. In intensive care, however, the peak of the last months will be reached in one week, with 400-450 patients, if the growth of infections is linear. This was stated by the coordinator of the area, Dea Gian Antonio Cibinel, at the meeting of the Health Commission of the Region with those responsible for the intercompany Department of infectious diseases and emergencies. In the past two weeks, the average number of patients waiting to be admitted to the emergency room ranged from 450 to 500.
Yesterday’s data
Yesterday there were 32,616 new positives of Covid-19, which is equivalent to 7,195 fewer cases compared to the 39,811 registered on November 7. In the 24 hours prior to contagion deaths, according to data released by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection, they amounted to 331, while the total number of deaths registered since the start of the pandemic is 41,394.
