We must go back to last April 25, when Italy was still in complete lockdown, to find a similar number of daily infections: 2,622 (but that day the victims were 415).
The death toll amounts to 35,918: +24 compared to yesterday when they were +19 (+24 the day before). The swabs processed in the last 24 hours were 118,236 (for a total of 11,452,158): compared to 105,564 yesterday (they were 90,158 on September 28). This is what emerges from the data of the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection.
Those cured continue to grow, reaching 228,844 (+1,140). The number of positives currently increases, which is now 52,647 (+1,384). The pressure on hospital structures grows with the number of hospitalized patients returning to 3,097 (+50) and the number of patients in intensive care rising to 291 (+11). The positives in home isolation are 49.259 (+1.323).
Contagions in the regions
The regions with the lowest number of new positives are Molise and Valle d’Aosta with 1 new case each. The region with the highest number of infections is Veneto with 445 infections, more than double compared to yesterday (155), followed by Campania with 390 (yesterday 287), Lombardy with 324 (yesterday 201), Lazio with 265 (yesterday 210), Sicily with 156 (yesterday 270).
Lombardy
By the number of cases since the start of the epidemic, Lombardy is still the most affected region with 107.0517 infections: +324 precisely compared to yesterday, when they were +201. There are 24,691 daily mattresses (bringing the total to 2,133,635), a sharp increase from 18,804 yesterday (13,791 on September 29). The percentage of positives with respect to the number of buffers is 1.3%, higher than 1% yesterday (it was 1.4% the day before).
