In Tuscany there are 121,770 cases of positivity of Coronavirus, 355 more than yesterday. New cases are 0.3% more than the total of the previous day. Those cured grew 0.4% and reached 108,092 (88.8% of all cases).
The swabs made reached 1,904,826, 6,387 more than yesterday, of which 5.6% were positive. On the other hand, 2688 subjects evaluated today (excluding control swabs), of which 13.2% were positive. To these are added the 2,700 rapid antigenic swabs that are currently being made.
Today’s positives are 9,948 today, -0.7% compared to yesterday. There are 981 hospitalized (17 more than yesterday), of which 147 in intensive care (8 more). Unfortunately, today there are 10 new deaths: 4 men and 6 women with an average age of 83.1 years.
These are the data – verified at 12 noon today based on requests from the National Civil Protection – regarding the advance of the epidemic in the region.
The average age of the 355 cases at present is around 46 years (16% are under 20, 23% between 20 and 39, 33% between 40 and 59, 20% between 60 and 79, 8% are 80 years or older).
It should be remembered that as of 06/24/2020, the Ministry of Health has modified the data collection system on the spread of Covid-19. Positive cases are no longer indicated by province of notification but by province of residence or domicile.
The following are the cases of positivity in the area with the change from yesterday. There are 33,945 cases in total to date in Florence (160 more than yesterday), 10,479 in Prato (16 more), 10,528 in Pistoia (10 more), 7,750 in Massa (11 more), 12,727 in Lucca (24 more), 16,902 in Pisa (28 more), 8,808 in Livorno (41 more), 10,753 in Arezzo (25 more), 5,098 in Siena (36 more), 4,225 in Grosseto (4 more). 555 positive cases were reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions.
Currently 197 cases have been found in the ASL Center, 93 in the Northwest, 65 in the Southeast.
Tuscany ranks 12th in Italy in terms of the number of cases (including residents and non-residents), with around 3,265 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (Italian average of around 3,547 x 100,000, yesterday’s figure). The provinces with the highest notification rate are Prato with 4,066 cases x 100,000 inhabitants, Pisa with 4,034, Massa Carrara with 3,977, and Grosseto the lowest with 1,906.
