TRENTO. There is A victim in Trentino due to COVID-19. It is the eleventh death registered in exactly 1 week, the tragic balance of this week amounts to 10 victims, while 12 deaths in 20 twenty days and 482 deaths since the beginning of the epidemic. I am instead 82 new positives and here they are 3 more people that they must go to the attention of the health system. There are still 50 classes currently under quarantine measures.. This is the update of the Province and Provincial Company for health services today, Saturday October 17, at the forefront of the coronavirus emergency. A worsening of the data that indicate the complexity and sensitivity of this epidemiological phase.
The absolute number is lower than yesterday (111 infections), but it is still among the highest in this period. Have been analyzed 2,127 swabs (986 read by the microbiology laboratory of the Santa Chiara de Trento hospital and 1,027 by the Mach Foundation), 82 tests were positive for an infection / buffer ratio of 3.85%.
Regarding the last days, the Province has decided yesterday to change the communication method again to provide only the cases verified with molecular buffer: The positivity revealed by antigen tests must be confirmed by molecular swab and therefore these cases are no longer reported.
exist 36 persons in the Trento and Rovereto hospitals, no one is in the intensive care unit. In detail, 25 show symptoms, while among the positive 3 children are placed in the age group 0-5 years me 10 children between 6 and 15 years old. I am instead 15 citizens over 70 years old who have contracted the virus.
Meanwhile, another spike of infections has been recorded in South Tyrol: 155 new positives registered in the last 24 hours. Thus, there are 505 cases in 4 days, while the number of cases rises to 584 between Monday, October 12 and today.
Have been analyzed 1,714 total swabs155 positive tests for a contagion / buffer ratio of 9%, a very high figure that shows the resurgence of the epidemic curve in the province of South Tyrol. 951 people were tested and 1 in 6 citizens was infected. After adjusting for the number of infections in March, the October 14th (124 cases – here article) and in the Yesterday with 128 positives (article here), today there is a new significant increase in infections.
The contagion numbers increase however, fortunately no deaths were recorded. There is 1 more patient in intensive care: 63 people (-3 compared to yesterday) are in normal hospital wards and 7 (+1) have to resort to intensive care (article here).
