The coronavirus makes another victim in Sicily. He is seventy years old, he is an accountant for Biancavilla, Well known in the town also for his political past, he was infected with his wife (cured) and hospitalized for days in the San Marco hospital in Catania.
The victim, as specified by Andrea D’Orazio at the Giornale di Sicilia on the newsstands, does not yet appear in the epidemiological bulletin of the Ministry of Health, which instead indicates another death, but it is the ninety-year-old man from Salemi who died two days ago.
The province of Palermo continues to be the most affected, even after the survey of the Ministry of Health. To the 54 indicated in the bulletin, another twenty or more cases not yet registered must be added, bringing the total of the last 24 hours to more than 70 newly infected. A balance that yesterday led the capital to surpass Catania for the total number of cases since the start of the pandemic: 1,546 against 1,521.
But the most alarming situation occurs in the province with a worrying surge in Partinico, San Giuseppe Jato, San Cipirello, Bagheria, Misilmeri, Carini and Bagheria (where the greatest increase was registered).
At Carini 16, the positives including the cashier, present at a polling station for the referendum, ended up in the hospital. Among the other fifteen positives, in isolation and asymptomatic, there was also a municipal employee who was a relative of the cashier.
