CAGLIARI. Of the 377 municipalities in Sardinia, 119, equivalent to 31.5%, are those that have not registered any case of coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. The historicized data on proven infections comes from the platform of the Higher Institute of Health updated on October 20. Among these Covid-free centers, mostly municipalities that do not exceed 5,000 inhabitants, there is also the smallest town on the island: Baradili (Oristano) with its approximately 100 inhabitants. Instead, 258 municipalities have registered cases of coronavirus and of these 39 so far only one has been infected with the virus. In total, there are 164 people with fewer than 10 cases (including centers where only one positive was recorded). The most affected cities and towns are in the north of Sardinia, in particular Sassari with 783 positives since the beginning of the emergency.
