Coronavirus in Sardinia, 74 new cases and two deaths: positivity rate of 0.4 percent

SASSARI. A total of 42,553 cases of Covid-19 positivity have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 74 new cases were detected. A total of 864,765 swabs were performed, for an overall increase of 20,488 tests compared to the previous figure. The ratio of positive cases to swabs performed marks a positive rate of 0.4% for the island.

There are two new deaths (1,197 in total). On the other hand, 176 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+5), while 27 patients remain in intensive care. There are 12,632 people in home isolation. Those cured are a total of 28,336 (+117), while the people declared clinically cured on the island are currently 185.

In the territory, of the 42,553 positive cases verified in total, 10,434 (+42) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 6,770 (+13) in southern Sardinia, 3,522 (+2) in Oristano, 8,375 (+7) ) in Nuoro, 13,452 (+10) in Sassari.
