The number of people admitted to intensive care remained unchanged. There are 100 hospitalized
SASSARI. There are 3,405 positive Covid-19 cases in Sardinia as a whole since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 49 new cases were registered, 32 detected through screening activities and 17 due to suspected diagnosis. There are two deaths, a 62-year-old woman, hospitalized in Nuoro and living in the Sassari area, who died on September 21, but only included in the report today, and a 79-year-old man, hospitalized in Cagliari and resident in the southern Sardinia, died this morning. The victims are 145 in total.
In total, 175,829 swabs were performed, an increase of 2,169 tests compared to the last update. On the other hand, 100 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (+4 compared to yesterday’s figure), while the number of patients (21) in intensive care remains unchanged. There are 1,624 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 1,508 (+25) recovered patients, plus another 7 clinically recovered.
Of the 3,405 positive cases verified in total, 550 (+14) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 336 (+3) in southern Sardinia, 242 (+4) in Oristano, 374 (+14) in Nuoro, 1,903 (+14) in Sassari.
