SASSARI. In Sardinia, a total of 28,683 cases of positivity for Covid-19 have been detected since the beginning of the emergency. In the latest update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 297 new cases were detected. There are also 9 deaths (669 in total), five men and four women between 73 and 100 years old.
The victims: 7 inhabitants of the metropolitan city of Cagliari and 2 of the provinces of Oristano and South of Sardinia, respectively. In total, 451,459 swabs were performed with an increase of 2,616 tests. On the other hand, 542 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (six fewer than yesterday), while the number of patients in intensive care is 48 (-2). There are 15,369 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 11,795 (+148) recovered patients, plus another 260 clinically recovered.
In the territory, of the 28,683 positive cases verified in total, 6,379 (+111) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,572 (+87) in southern Sardinia, 2,236 (+3) in Oristano, 5,744 (+36 ) in Nuoro, 9,752 (+60) in Sassari.
