SASSARI. A total of 26,506 positive Covid-19 cases have been detected in Sardinia since the beginning of the emergency. In the last update of the Regional Crisis Unit, 228 new cases were detected. There are also 11 deaths (588 in total), eight men and three women between 59 and 93 years old. The victims: four residents in the province of Sassari, three in the province of Nuoro, two in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and two respectively in the provinces of Oristano and South Sardinia.
In total, 422,952 swabs were performed with an increase of 2,312 tests. On the other hand, 580 patients are currently hospitalized in non-intensive wards (nine less than yesterday), while the number of patients in intensive care is 57 (-2).
There are 14,724 people in home isolation. The progressive number of positive cases includes 10,405 (+269) recovered patients, plus another 152 clinically recovered. In the territory, out of a total of 26,506 confirmed positive cases, 5,722 (+55) were detected in the metropolitan city of Cagliari, 4,189 (+61) in southern Sardinia, 2,097 (+2) in Oristano, 5,224 (+20) ) in Nuoro, 9,274 (+90) in Sassari.
