There are 1,033 new cases of coronavirus discovered today, Thursday, October 15, 2020, in Piedmont: they have doubled compared to yesterday. The swabs performed were 14,142, with a positivity rate of 7.2% (higher than the national average). Of the newly infected, 663 are completely asymptomatic. Three, however, the deaths reported in the afternoon by the Crisis Unit of the Region, none of which occurred today (therefore they come from the autopsies of the deceased in the previous days).
The total is 4,190 deaths that tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 688 Alessandria, 257 Asti, 212 Biella, 402 Cuneo, 385 Novara, 1,845 Turin, 227 Vercelli, 133 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 41 residents outside the region but died in Piedmont. Infections, on the other hand, amount to 41,074, divided as follows by provinces: 4,733 Alessandria, 2,219 Asti, 1,353 Biella, 4,352 Cuneo, 3,879 Novara, 20,724 Turin, 1,828 Vercelli, 1,318 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 344 residents outside the region but in charge of Piedmont health facilities. The remaining 324 cases are pending and territorial assignment.
The number of people admitted to intensive care has increased from seven to 40, while admissions in the other wards have increased from 33 to 595. There are 6,673 people in home isolation.

The virologically cured patients, who are negative to the two tests at the end of the disease, are 29,049 (+ 111 compared to yesterday), divided as follows by provinces: 3,541 (+7) Alessandria, 1,658 (+3) Asti, 908 (+ 3) Biella, 2,832 (+11) Cuneo, 2,717 (+27) Novara, 14,765 (+52) Turin, 1,390 (+5) Vercelli, 1,039 (+2) Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 199 ( +1) from other regions. Another 527 are improving, that is, negative on the first test swab, post-illness and awaiting the result of the second.
