Today, Monday, December 28, 2020, there are 335 (of which 63 after antigen tests), which is equivalent to 6.2% of the 5,366 swabs performed (of which 2,425 antigen tests), more than yesterday cases of people positive for coronavirus. Among them there are 191 asymptomatic, which is equivalent to 47% of the total. Therefore, the cases of people who have so far tested positive for Covid-19 in Piedmont amount to 197,984, divided as follows by provinces: 17,630 Alessandria, 9,926 Asti, 6,834 Biella, 27,294 Cuneo, 15,425 Novara, 104,043 Turin, 7,482 Vercelli, 6,653 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 1,059 residents outside the region, but in charge of the Piedmontese health structures. The remaining 1,638 are under development and territorial allocation.
Hospitalizations and tampons: the numbers
Compared to yesterday, the number of hospitalized in intensive care has decreased (205 people in total, 6 less) and the number of hospitalized who are not in intensive care has increased (3,042 people in total, 3 more than yesterday). There are 30,465 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 1,963,167 (more 5,366 than yesterday) of which 906,622 were negative.
The deaths
There are 20 Covid-19 test positive deaths reported by the Piedmont Region Crisis Unit. One of these occurred today (the cumulative update data reported daily also includes deaths that occurred in the previous days and were only subsequently determined as Covid deaths). The total, since the beginning of the epidemic, is 7,804 deaths who tested positive for the virus, divided as follows by province: 1,193 Alessandria, 483 Asti, 331 Biella, 874 Cuneo, 647 Novara, 3,594 Turin, 368 Vercelli, 244 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 70 residents outside the region who died in Piedmont.
Recovered patients
A total of 156,468 patients recovered from the beginning of the epidemic (more than 1,052 compared to yesterday) divided as follows by provinces: 13,551 Alessandria, 7838 Asti, 4,929 Biella, 21,241 Cuneo, 12,937 Novara, 83,231 Turin, 5,494 Vercelli, 5,538 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 752 extraregions and 957 defined.
