Today, Saturday, December 26, 2020, the crisis unit of the Piedmont Region reported 426 new cases of people who tested positive for the coronavirus, which is equivalent to 12.5% ​​of the 3,408 swabs performed. Of the new cases, 158 asymptomatic cases are equivalent to 37.1%. Today’s data, as we can see, is numerically reduced due to the reduction in the number of holiday swabs.

The total of positive cases amounts to 197,174, divided as follows by provinces: 17,535 Alessandria, 9,867 Asti, 6,804 Biella, 27,222 Cuneo, 15,347 Novara, 103,665 Turin, 7,432 Vercelli, 6,622 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 1,059 residents outside of the region, but in charge of the Piedmontese health structures. There are 208 patients admitted to intensive care (-6 compared to yesterday). The other hospital wards were hospitalized 3,011 (-18 compared to yesterday). There are 31,720 people in home isolation.

In the last hours, another 12 deaths of people positive to the coronavirus test have been reported, of which three occurred today, while the others occurred in the last days and were later confirmed as deaths caused by the disease.

The total is now 7,767 deaths that tested positive for the virus, divided as follows: 1,191 Alessandria, 481 Asti, 328 Biella, 869 Cuneo, 642 Novara, 3,574 Turin, 368 Vercelli, 244 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition to 70 residents outside the region but died in Piedmont.

A total of 154,468 recovered patients (+345 compared to yesterday) divided as follows by provinces: 13,307 Alessandria, 7,758 Asti, 4,846 Biella, 20,946 Cuneo, 12,816 Novara, 82,266 Turin, 5,414 Vercelli, 5,473 Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in addition 735 extraregion and 907 being defined.
