The coronavirus figures in Italy remain high, even if the epidemiological curve begins to deviate, increasing less than in recent weeks. The new cases of positive subjects to Covid-19 are 32,961, 2,137 less than the 35,098 registered yesterday. In the last 24 hours, deaths from contagion, according to data released jointly by the Ministry of Health and Civil Protection on Wednesday, November 11, are 623 (yesterday they were 580, for the first time above 500), while the total of Deaths reported since the beginning of the pandemic is 42,953. The positives currently are instead 613,358: the series is thus confirmed, stable above half a million, which began on November 7. The 5:00 p.m. bulletin from the health authorities registers a total of 1,028,424 cases (thus also including deaths and recoveries from Covid since the beginning of the epidemic), which for the first time exceed one million.
Hospitalized, past the peak in April
Regarding hospital admissions, a key indicator for evaluating the trend of the second wave of Covid, there are 110 new admissions to intensive care, bringing the total to 3,081 (yesterday there were 2,971); on the other hand, hospitalized patients with symptoms increased by 811 to 29,444 (28,633). Thus, the peak of 29,010 hospitalizations registered on April 4 has been surpassed, which is not good news. There is also a strong growth of subjects subjected to home isolation under the control of the health authorities: there are 580,833, 42,327 more than yesterday. In the following graph, by deselecting intensive care and home isolation, it is possible to observe the surpassing of the number of people hospitalized compared to the previous peak. The peak of intensive care has not yet been passed.

Positive / test ratio at 14.6%
According to the latest survey, the declared subjects recovered so far are a total of 372,113 (363,023), with an increase of 9,090 units. The Ministry of Health bulletin records more than 200,000 swabs performed, to be exact 225,640 processed in the last 24 hours, in line with the 217,758 tests performed yesterday (+7,882). The relationship between positives and tests is 14.6%, 1.5% less than yesterday. The total number of swabs performed since the start of daily follow-up has increased to 17,965,836 and the total number of cases analyzed to 10,891.

In Tuscany in the last 24 hours there have been another 53 deaths – 29 men and 24 women, average age 81.8 years -, only one less than the patients who died in the last survey that represented a record for the region. And the trend of infections goes back: 2,507 more registered – average age 48 – compared to 2,223 yesterday, with a growth of 3.7%. Then there were another 50 hospitalizations: a total of 1,874 Covid patients in the hospital of which 246 in intensive care (4 more). In Tuscany since the beginning of the epidemic there are 69,920 cases of positivity of Coronavirus, 1,701 deaths. Those cured grew 4.5% and reached 20,319 (29.1% of all cases). A total of 1,259,794 swabs were made, 17,821 more than yesterday. 9,150 subjects were analyzed (excluding control swabs), of which 27.4% were positive. The current positives are 47,900 today, + 3.4% compared to yesterday.
In Emilia Romagna 2,428 cases and 31 deaths, hospitalizations increase
In the last 24 hours, there were 2,428 Covid infections. They were discovered thanks to 20,670 swabs. The number of people hospitalized continues to rise and there are 31 victims. Of the newly infected, 1,292 are asymptomatic, identified in the context of regional contact tracing and detection activities. Currently in Emilia-Romagna there are 43,891 active cases, 95% of which are in isolation at home because they do not require special care. However, hospitalized patients continue to grow: those in intensive care are 222, seven more than yesterday, while patients in the rest of the Covid wards reach 2,072 (+52).
