The buffer / positive ratio rises slightly again – In the last 24 hours, 188,747 swabs were made, 48,478 less than on Saturday. The data also shows an increase in the ratio between the swabs performed and the positives identified: it is at 15%, about half a point more than on Saturday when it stopped at 14.6%.

Intensive care admissions date back to: The total number of people infected since the beginning of the emergency amounts to 1,408,868. After Saturday’s decline (with only 10 new more hospitalized patients), the number of admissions to intensive care increases again: according to the Ministry of Health bulletin, 43 new admissions in the last 24 hours for a total of 3,801. In ordinary wards of hospitals, 34,279 patients are hospitalized, an increase of 216 compared to Saturday. Finally, 767,867 Italians are in home isolation, 13,942 more.

The most affected regions – After Lombardy (which registered another 5,094 positives), the most affected region is Campania with 3,217 new cases. They are followed by Veneto with 2,956, Emilia-Romagna with 2,665 and Piedmont with 2,641.
