The Covid virus has spared no one, including over 80 guests from the RSA “Palena Foundation” of Foggia. All 70 patients present at the facility are positive for Coronavirus. 28 employees also infected. It seems from rumors that almost all of them are asymptomatic, except for some elderly people who previously had a somewhat more delicate clinical picture.

The contagion seems to have started by an Oss – Health Social Worker – who on October 24 – some relatives of the patients told – began to feel the first symptoms. To make up for the lack of personnel, the ASL of Foggia intervened. In fact, the patients were entrusted to four USCA doctors, special care continuity units, who make daily visits in the morning and in the afternoon.

The ASL is also in charge of the hygienic / sanitary management of the residence. “The situation is terrible – admits a woman who has her father hospitalized in the facility. I have not seen him since last Monday.” During the seventh – according to rumors – three elderly people died: the first Monday, a second Wednesday and the last night, on November 6. While for two other guests it was necessary to be hospitalized.

“Yesterday our family had dinner with milk and cookies. All this is unacceptable – the relatives thunder. We have also brought four oxygen cylinders to the facility for our loved ones. We ask that it be clarified as soon as possible,” they conclude.
